Position Overview
As a Home Health PTA with Jaynes PT, you will work under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist to provide one-on-one treatment that improves mobility, restores function, reduces pain, and enhances quality of life. This role is ideal for a PTA who thrives independently, communicates exceptionally well, and loves building meaningful relationships with patients in a home setting.

Key Responsibilities
• Carry out individualized treatment plans established by the supervising PT
• Provide functional mobility training, strengthening, balance work, gait training, and therapeutic exercise
• Deliver safe, effective, and engaging therapy within the patient’s home environment
• Document visits, progress notes, and outcomes according to agency standards and Louisiana practice regulations
• Communicate consistently with supervising therapists, physicians, caregivers, and interdisciplinary team members
• Educate patients and families on home exercise programs, safety, and strategies for long-term success
• Maintain a compassionate, patient-centered approach that supports independence and quality of life

Qualifications
• Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) in Louisiana
• 1–5 years of experience as a PTA (home health experience strongly preferred)
• Strong clinical skills in mobility training, strengthening, functional movement, and rehabilitation techniques
• Exceptional communication, time management, and documentation skills
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel throughout the Greater New Orleans area
• CPR/BLS certification required

Jaynes PT is seeking a compassionate, skilled, and patient-focused Occupational Therapist (OT) to support our expanding services across the River Parishes, including LaPlace, St. Rose, and Reserve, Louisiana. Our practice is dedicated to helping individuals regain independence, improve daily function, and enhance quality of life through personalized, evidence-based occupational therapy interventions.
Position Overview
The Occupational Therapist will evaluate, treat, and support patients with physical, developmental, sensory, or cognitive challenges that impact daily living. This role is ideal for a therapist who values community engagement, autonomy, and meaningful one-on-one care within home, clinic, and community environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform detailed occupational therapy evaluations and functional assessments
- Develop individualized treatment plans addressing ADLs, fine motor skills, strength, coordination, cognitive functioning, and sensory integration needs
- Provide hands-on therapy sessions in homes, community settings, or partner facilities within LaPlace, St. Rose, and Reserve
- Assist patients in restoring independence in self-care, mobility, home management, and work-related tasks
- Document patient progress, treatment notes, and outcomes in accordance with Louisiana OT practice standards
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers on home programs, adaptive techniques, and long-term wellness strategies
- Recommend adaptive equipment, modifications, or technology to enhance safety and independence
- Collaborate with physical therapists, physicians, pediatric specialists, and community partners
- Uphold Jaynes PT’s commitment to patient-centered, compassionate care
Qualifications
- Master’s or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy (OTD, MOT)
- Active Louisiana Occupational Therapy License (or eligibility to obtain one)
- Strong understanding of rehabilitative, developmental, and functional OT practices
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and patient engagement skills
- CPR/BLS certification
- New graduates are welcome to apply—training and mentorship available
Preferred Skills (Not Required)
- Experience in pediatrics, geriatrics, home health, or community-based therapy
- Knowledge of sensory integration strategies
- Certification in hand therapy or interest in hand rehabilitation
